Terms of Service

FamilyGrove is a private, collaborative family-tree app — a place to build your family tree, share photos and stories, plan celebrations, keep documents, and order keepsakes. We may add, change, or remove features over time.

You're responsible for your account and for keeping your password secure. You must be at least 18 (or the age of majority where you live) to create an account. Tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorized use.

You keep ownership of the photos, stories, documents, and other content you add. You grant us a limited license to store, display, and process that content solely to operate the service for you and the family members you invite — for example, to show a photo to your relatives or to print a keepsake you order. We don't sell your content or use it for advertising.

You're responsible for the content you add, including information about other people. Only add information you have a reasonable basis to share, and respect your relatives' privacy.

Don't use FamilyGrove to do anything unlawful, infringing, harassing, or harmful, and don't try to break, overload, or gain unauthorized access to the service or other people's data. We may suspend or close accounts that violate these terms.

Some features let you buy physical keepsakes or gifts (for example, a printed family-tree poster). Prices are shown at checkout. Payments are processed by our payment provider (Stripe) — we don't store your card details. Printed items are produced and shipped by our print partners.

Because keepsakes are personalized and printed to order, orders generally can't be canceled once production starts. If an item arrives damaged or defective, contact us and we'll make it right. Applicable taxes and shipping are shown at checkout.

You can stop using FamilyGrove at any time and request deletion of your account by emailing us. We may suspend or end the service, or your access to it, if you materially breach these terms or if we need to for legal or security reasons.

FamilyGrove is provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind to the extent permitted by law. We work hard to keep your data safe and the service available, but we don't guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free. To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

Our Privacy Policy explains what we collect and how we use it, and is part of these terms.

We may update these terms. If we make material changes, we'll update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you. Continuing to use FamilyGrove after a change means you accept the updated terms.
